Dr. Paul Akpomuje
Assistant Professor, Education
Dr. Akpomuje joins us from Queen’s University, where his teaching and research have focused on the intersections of critical social justice education, spirituality, and transformative learning. His scholarship explores anti-oppressive and anti-racist education through poetics and storytelling pedagogies, illuminating their potential to foster critical reflection, dialogue, and social transformation. He is deeply committed to preparing future educators to engage diverse learners with empathy, critical awareness, and responsiveness across interconnected local and global contexts.
Throughout his career, Dr. Akpomuje has demonstrated a strong commitment to teaching, collaborative research, and meaningful engagement with schools and communities. His experience and expertise will be a wonderful addition to our growing Faculty and will enrich the learning experiences of our students.
